In honor of National Doctors’ Day, AdventHealth celebrated physicians across Central Florida during a week-long celebration from March 27-31.
Since 1933, National Doctors’ Day has honored the life-saving work happening around the clock.
To honor the thousands who provide world-class care to local patients, AdventHealth transformed physician lounges and conference rooms and spent the week celebrating with a blast from the past.
This year’s theme of “Game On” took team members back to the 1980s and 90s. There were arcade games, giant versions of old favorite toys as well as lunches and other fun treats for the doctors.
Leaders also took time to celebrate the doctors for the expertise and dedication they show daily.
“We honor our physicians for the many contributions they make in our community, their healing ministry and the hope they provide,” Randy Haffner, president and CEO of AdventHealth Florida said in a LinkedIn post. “Medicine is most certainly a team sport, and I’ve been blessed to work with many talented, collaborative and compassionate physicians throughout my career.”
Tributes to AdventHealth doctors poured in all week long on social media.
