The vision of Global Missions is to create a community and culture at AdventHealth where every employee and physician has the opportunity to extend the healing ministry beyond their employed duties. We seek to have a mission-driven healthcare community where caregivers feel inspired to give their time and talents to those who need them anywhere in the world.

Our Story
After the earthquake hit Haiti in 2010, so close to home, we knew that we had to do something to use our resources to help those in our global community. AdventHealth set up a department called Global Missions to partner with our sister institutions around the world.

Our Volunteers
Whether working on a water-well project in Ethiopia, caring for patients in Haiti or providing medical support to communities in Peru, we provide hands-on volunteer opportunities for AdventHealth employees on a global scale. Our Footprint locations are a true testament to what can be accomplished when we promote health care to alleviate sickness and suffering. Our volunteers get directly involved and actively engaged in the following activities:
- Provide medical and surgical care to patients
- Promote health education to communities
- Conduct training programs for clinical staff
- Deliver donated equipment and supplies
- Raise funds for approved mission trips and projects

Operation Sunshine
AdventHealth created Operation Sunshine — to provide annual checkups and health care for the children who lack this crucial lifeline.

Mission Warehouse
We re-purpose retired AdventHealth medical equipment and then send it to countries in need all over the globe.
