Sports Injuries
Our physicians are experts in providing evaluation and care for a wide variety of sports-related injuries including everything from sprained ankles to concussions, twisted knees, bone fractures, joint dislocations, rotator cuff injuries and more. They can also provide sound advice on methods for avoiding common sports injuries. Less severe injuries such as sprains, strains, simple fractures and dislocated joints may be treated by your primary care or sports medicine physician, who may refer you to a physical therapist to complete your plan of care. Meanwhile, more serious musculoskeletal injuries may require consultation and treatment by an orthopedic surgeon, and patients with traumatic brain injuries (concussions) may need to be evaluated by a neurologist or neurosurgeon.
