Heart Disease

The term “heart disease” can refer to a wide range of conditions including both congenital and acquired problems. Heart defects, heart arrhythmias, coronary artery disease, heart valve disease, viral and bacterial heart infections, aortic aneurysms, congestive heart failure and many other types of heart disease all require evaluation, treatment and long-term medical monitoring by your team of health care providers including cardiologists, cardiothoracic surgeons and primary care doctors. Such disorders can be diagnosed via EKG, stress testing, chest X-rays, echocardiography, blood tests, coronary angiography and cardiac catheterization.
