PGY1 pharmacy residency programs build on pharmacy education and outcomes to contribute to the development of clinical pharmacists responsible for medication- related care of patients with a wide range of conditions, eligible for board certification, and eligible for postgraduate year two (PGY2) pharmacy residency training.
Established more than 20 years ago, the PGY1 focused in ambulatory care at AdventHealth Celebration is an ASHP accredited program that provides an opportunity for motivated individuals to gain experience in many facets of primary care/ambulatory care pharmacy. Additionally, traditional acute care services including general medicine, internal medicine, and elective opportunities in emergency medicine, inpatient transitions of care, critical care, cardiac ICU, infectious diseases, and hospital administration will provide a well-rounded residency experience to prepare residents to work in a variety of pharmacy settings.
