Garrett Meggs, PharmD

Dr. Meggs chose AdventHealth Celebration for their long-standing and unrivaled ambulatory care experiences. In addition, he enjoyed the work culture during his interview. Dr. Meggs is most excited for the variety of ambulatory clinic experiences which include diabetes, warfarin management, transitions of care, and more. Garrett loves spending time improving his tennis game and perusing his weightlifting goals. He also dedicates time to mediation, friends, and family. Dr. Meggs is looking forward to exploring both sides of the Florida beaches. He frequently tries new restaurants and attractions with his new friends/coresidents. Dr. Meggs's career goal post-residency is to obtain a position within a diabetes, heart failure, or primary care ambulatory care clinic.


Jenny Stalas, PharmD

Hometown: Clearwater, FL
Pharmacy School: University of South Florida - Taneja College of Pharmacy

Dr. Stalas chose AdventHealth Celebration for residency because she wanted to further her experience in ambulatory care and practice in a location that focuses on preventative care and chronic disease state management. Jenny is looking forward to gaining independence as a new pharmacy practitioner and developing her skills in ambulatory care clinics. Outside of work, Jenny enjoys cooking, trying new recipes, and fitness. Jenny is new to the Orlando area and is excited to regularly visit the Disney theme parks and explore unique restaurants in Orlando this year. Post residency, Jenny hopes to continue working in ambulatory care pharmacy with a focus on preventative care. She also hopes to work with students either in an academia setting or as a preceptor.


Monique Hook, PharmD

Hometown: Fajardo, PR
Pharmacy School: University of Florida College of Pharmacy - Lake Nona Campus

Dr. Hook chose AdventHealth Celebration because of the different transition of care services, a well-established ambulatory care clinic, and inpatient clinical pharmacy experiences that this PGY1 program provides. Through these experiences, Dr. Hook firmly believes that she will receive the best preparation to practice her clinical skills and excel as an ambulatory care pharmacist in a variety of settings. Monique is looking forward to interacting with patients, precepting, growing as a clinical pharmacist, and providing the best patient care. Outside of residency, Monique enjoys going to the beach, traveling, catching up on TV shows, and spending time with family. Monique is not new to the Orlando area but enjoys trying new restaurants, visiting theme parks, and exploring new attractions throughout the Orlando area with friends. Upon completion of residency, Monique's goals are to obtain BCACP certification and practice as an ambulatory care pharmacist within a transitions of care team or obtain a position as a clinical pharmacist at an ambulatory care clinic.
