Dr. Verduzco chose AdventHealth Celebration because of its well-established ambulatory care clinic with the opportunity to experience a variety of disease states, in addition to gaining inpatient experience. He enjoyed making impactful interventions for patients as a student on his ambulatory care rotation and he wanted to experience more as a resident. This year he is looking forward to networking and building meaningful relationships with the pharmacists at AdventHealth and refining everything he's learned in pharmacy school to become a well-rounded clinical pharmacist. He is also excited to get to know his fellow co-residents and make new friendships. When he's not at the hospital, Dr. Verduzco enjoys playing and listening to music, watching football on the weekends, and cooking. He also enjoys making trips to the beach and soaking up the sun. Upon completion of residency, Dr. Verduzco would like to like obtain a position as a clinical pharmacist in an ambulatory care clinic or hospital or pursue a PGY2 in either ambulatory care or critical care.

Jessica-Russo

Jessica Russo, PharmD, MBA

Pharmacy School: University of Rhode Island

Dr. Russo chose AdventHealth Celebration's PGY1 Ambulatory Care Focused Program because of the diverse clinic opportunities, inpatient experiences, and positive learning environment. She strongly believes that working in a variety of clinic settings will enhance her ambulatory care skills, develop her own practice style, and prepare her for a future career in any ambulatory care setting. This year she is looking forward to making friends, networking, learning, interacting with patients, and growing as an independent pharmacist. When she's not at the hospital, Dr. Russo enjoys going to farmer's markets, traveling, watching movies, and trying new restaurants. As a new Orlando resident, she hopes to see Disney World, Universal and wants to try as many restaurants as she thinks its the best way to get to know a place! Upon completion of residency, Dr. Russo would like to pursue a PGY2 or a full-time role as an ambulatory care pharmacist, obtain BCACP and CDE certifications, and become an active preceptor.

Lynn Huynh

Lynn T. Huynh, PharmD

Pharmacy School: Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University College of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences

Dr. Huynh chose AdventHealth Celebration because of the opportunity to experience both inpatient and outpatient settings, a diverse patient population, the ability to precept students using the layered learning model, and a friendly and welcoming environment she experienced as a student while on rotation. This year she is looking forward to recruiting for the residency program, meeting potential candidates at midyear and the chance to grow as both a clinician and being able to precept students. When she's not at the hospital, Dr. Huynh enjoys spending time with family, sleeping in, reading webtoons, playing calm video games like animal crossing and meditation. Upon completion of residency, Dr. Huynh would like to practice as an ambulatory care pharmacist and preceptor.
