Prior to joining AdventHealth, Jennie Campa had several complications from a serious health condition that left her with a large debt.
“I didn’t know anything about Crohn’s Disease, and I didn’t know the disease would lead me to some of the darkest times of my life,” Campa, a communications coordinator with AdventHealth Foundation, said.

Her AdventHealth co-workers encouraged her to look into the AdventHealth Foundation Central Florida’s Hope Fund, an employee-supported program that helps team members amid unexpected financial crises.
“Stories like Jennie’s are exactly why the Hope Fund was created,” Gregory Ellis, AdventHealth’s executive director of mission and ministry, said. Every year the Hope Fund offers more than $350,000 in assistance to around 400 AdventHealth employees.
“I wouldn’t have made it, if it wasn’t for the kindness of people,” said Campa.
