(January 15, 2021) Tampa, FL – AdventHealth Tampa’s Kay Meyer Breast Center was awarded Best Mammogram Imaging Center from The Women’s Choice Award®, rating it one of the best mammogram imaging centers in Tampa. According to the American Cancer Society, about 1 in 8 women in the US will develop invasive breast cancer during their lifetime, and it is the second leading cause of cancer death in women. Getting a mammogram is the first step in making sure cancer is caught in its earliest stages. Women can reduce the risk of unnecessary testing by choosing a highly rated mammogram imaging center that has more experienced doctors for interpreting mammograms.

“We are honored to be recognized for excellence in mammogram imaging,” said Denyse Bales-Chubb, President and CEO of AdventHealth Tampa. “Our mission is to extend the healing ministry of Christ, and in service of that mission we strive to support all women and men who are diagnosed with breast cancer through their breast cancer journey with compassion, kindness, expertise and exceptional care.”
The Kay Meyer Breast Center at AdventHealth Tampa offers a comprehensive program focusing on breast cancer prevention, detection, treatment and recovery with board-certified radiologists and staff. As an Accredited Center of Excellence by the American College of Radiology (ACR), the Kay Meyer Breast Care Center offers the highest standards of care by specializing in key diagnostic procedures for the patient’s breast care and whole-person health.
The Women’s Choice Award for Best Hospitals™ is a coveted credential that identifies the nation’s best hospitals based on robust criteria that includes relevant clinical performance, patient satisfaction and appropriate accreditations. These Best Hospitals demonstrate exceptional ratings, providing the highest level of care and commitment to their patients’ health and well-being. The Women's Choice Award is the only designation that takes into consideration the preferences of women when selecting a hospital. Now, women can feel confident in choosing the best care for themselves and their families.
