How Bela Leads at AdventHealth
Bela Nand, MD, serves on our AdventHealth Shawnee Mission leadership team as the Regional Chief Medical Officer for AdventHealth Shawnee Mission.
As Chief Medical Officer, not only will Dr. Nand act as primary CMO for AdventHealth Shawnee Mission, but she will also provide support at the regional level in areas including quality, safety and physician engagement.
Before joining AdventHealth Mid-America, Dr. Nand spent time at UChicago Medicine AdventHealth Hinsdale and La Grange, where she served as Chief Medical Officer. While in Chicago, she led numerous initiatives that significantly enhanced clinical quality, strengthened physician engagement, and improved patient experience across multiple hospitals. Her collaborative leadership style and unwavering commitment to excellence have made a lasting impact on both teams and communities.
Dr. Nand is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Hospice/Palliative Medicine. She completed her residency at Advocate Ravenswood and Illinois Masonic Medical Center and served as Chief Resident for Internal Medicine at RML Medical Center and Hospital in New Delhi, India. Dr. Nand earned her medical degree from GSVM Medical School in Kanpur, India, and holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
