This free three-hour class emphasizes how lifestyle changes with diet and exercise can help you delay or reverse pre-diabetes and diabetes. The key is eating healthy, high-fiber foods and a low fat diet, along with exercise and weight loss.

    .High-risk signs for prediabetes are:

    • Fasting blood sugar of 100-125
    • Overweight or obese
    • Sedentary (inactive) lifestyle
    • HDL cholesterol less than 35
    • Triglyceride level 250 or higher
    • Over 45 years of age
    • Family history of diabetes

    Free 3-hour classes offered in Sebring, Lake Placid and Wauchula (class times vary). May be available as on-site or virtual class. Spanish-language classes also available.
