Before you schedule a surgery date, you must receive evaluations from our experts in nutrition and psychological health. Your insurance company may also require you to take certain nutrition classes to qualify for surgery.
Question: What should I expect during my first visit?Answer:
We provide all services via telehealth consultations, making it easier and more convenient for you. At your first visit, you’ll complete a nutritional evaluation with our registered dietitian. You’ll then complete a full psychological evaluation with a psychologist who specializes in bariatric surgery.
Question: What changes should I make to my lifestyle before and after surgery?Answer:
Starting right now, small steps to improve your health can go a long way toward successful weight-loss surgery. Our nutrition and behavioral health experts will guide you on the specifics.
Question: Can I get pregnant after weight-loss surgery?Answer:
Yes, you can get pregnant after weight-loss surgery. However, you’ll want to wait at least 12 to 18 months after your procedure. Your weight must be stable for at least a year to keep you and your baby healthy.
