Improve Bone Strength

Keeping your bones healthy for life is important. As women, bone health is affected by many factors including childbirth and menopause. 

There are a few things you can do to lessen your risk of getting thin, brittle bones, including:

  • Avoid alcohol, tobacco and caffeine
  • Exercise regularly
  • Get enough calcium and vitamin D 
  • Perform weight-bearing exercises
Bone Health Screenings

If you or your doctor suspects you’re at risk for osteoporosis, we use advanced screening tools along with a full medical history to understand your condition.

Screening techniques help evaluate the progression of bone loss and include:

  • Bone mineral density tests (DXA scan or bone densitometry)
  • Clinical evaluation, risk assessment and a blood test
  • Fracture risk assessment
  • X-rays

If early screenings indicate you’re beginning to lose bone density, we’ll work closely with you on a treatment plan to slows bone loss.
