DAYTONA BEACH, Fla., Nov. 26, 2019 – Back for its third year, a portion of the proceeds generated from Magic of Lights, the popular drive-through, family-friendly holiday lights extravaganza at the Daytona International Speedway from Nov. 22 – Jan. 1, will support the AdventHealth facilities in Volusia and Flagler counties.

From Dec. 2-8, AdventHealth will instead donate all of the funds they would have received from the Magic of Lights event to the Volusia County School District.

In addition, from Dec. 6-8, participants can receive a free upgrade to the Dash Pass Lane (a $20 value) by donating school supplies – such as pencils, folders, spiral notebooks, glue sticks and hand sanitizer – for Volusia County students.

“We’ve had a long-standing commitment to advocating for the health, education and overall well-being of local children and families. As a natural evolution to the work we’ve been committed to for years, we began a formal partnership with Volusia County Schools last year and this is just one of the many ways we are able to help support local families,” said Cully Chapman, AdventHealth Daytona Beach chief financial officer and AdventHealth’s executive champion for their partnership with the Daytona International Speedway. “With more than 63,000 students across 78 schools, we are honored to have the opportunity to collaborate with the Daytona International Speedway and celebrate our Volusia County Schools students, parents, teachers and staff this week.”

“As superintendent of schools, I know I speak for all our staff in offering AdventHealth our thanks for their partnership which focuses on reducing student absenteeism, athlete care, general student health support and career readiness,” said Tim Egnor, Volusia County Schools superintendent. “This generous donation only adds to the $2 million of support already promised through the five-year contract with AdventHealth. AdventHeath is truly a partner who goes beyond expectation to help the students of Volusia County.”

From the comfort of their vehicle, Magic of Lights guests will enjoy spectacular displays with the latest LED technology and digital animations. This year’s Magic of Lights will feature a new out-of-car experience, refreshments and snacks and an expanded route behind the Ticket and Tours Building, through the venue and conclude in the Midway display area.
