Celebration, FL. February 21, 2017 Dr. Vipul Patel, a global leader in robotic-assisted surgery, is celebrating an important milestone this month in the fight against prostate cancer. Patel, who is Medical Director of the AdventHealth Global Robotics Institute at AdventHealth Celebration, is performing his 10,000th robotic prostatectomy.
The 10,000th robotic prostatectomy represents a significant milestone in our program. We continue to improve and continuously innovate, Patel said. Our experience is now unsurpassed worldwide and our commitment to individualized and excellent patient care continues to grow stronger.
Patel has operated on patients from all 50 states and dozens of countries from Angola to Venezuela on six continents. Patel’s experience in robotic-assisted prostatectomies has led to better outcomes for his patients.
