When should you seek emergency care?
Visit the nearest ER if you or a loved one experiences any of the following:
- Chest pain
- Persistent diarrhea
- Head or neck injury
- Labored breathing
- Numbness or drooping (face or body)
- Severe abdominal pain

- Sudden confusion
- Uncontrolled bleeding
- Unusual behavior

Overnight Observation
With some emergencies, you may need to stay longer so we can keep a close eye on your progress. The overnight observation unit at AdventHealth Lake Mary ER lets us watch, listen, and care for you closely — without moving you to another facility. You may spend up to 23 hours in the observation unit where your doctors and nurses will focus on helping you heal.
