Volunteering

Our Social Responsibility team also manages our volunteer workforce. AdventHealth offers many opportunities to get involved as a volunteer at our hospital campuses, no matter what your skill set might be. Over 2,000 volunteers each year contribute their time and talents to create a positive impact in the lives of our patients, visitors, and staff.

Considered among many health care experts to be part of an overall healthy lifestyle, volunteering has many proven benefits. Other than the tangible effects, like learning new skill sets, developing better communication practices and building new relationships, volunteering has also been shown to increase life expectancy, functional ability and overall physical and mental health for those giving of their time.

If you are interested in becoming a volunteer at AdventHealth, please contact the Volunteer Services Office at 407-303-6938 or FH.Volunteer.Services@flhosp.org.

Care Givers

AdventHealth's year-round employee volunteerism program is known as Care.Givers. Our social responsibility team works with partner agencies to find and create opportunities for our employees to give back to the community we serve outside of the walls of our hospital. From building neighborhood parks to serving food to impoverished neighbors, our Care.Givers. truly show Christ’s love through the work that they do.

Each year, AdventHealth hosts a Day of Caring, a coordinated day of service that encourages all employees to volunteer at one of several opportunities throughout Central Florida.  If you are interested in learning more about Care.Givers, please contact the Social Responsibility Office at 407-303-1354 or fh.care.givers@flhosp.org.
