
About the Author
Dr. Herdley Paolini earned her Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology at Western Michigan University. She has over 25 years of experience in the counseling field and recently directed Physician Support Services at AdventHealth -- the largest admitting hospital in America. As a member of the medical staff Dr. Paolini established and maintained the first and only hospital-based clinical practice for physicians in the country. She currently heads the Institute for Physician Integration.

Prior to her work at AdventHealth, she was a psychologist and teacher at Andrews University in Michigan, where she also maintained a private practice. She has extensive experience in program development and consulting at various universities, hospitals, and organizations across the country. She now focuses on research and clinical work aimed at enhancing physician’s lives.
Dr. Paolini's specific areas of expertise include wellness and satisfaction, stress management, grief and loss issues, relationship issues, depressive and anxiety disorders, addictions, obsessive-compulsive disorder and post-traumatic stress disorder.
