Pituitary Disorders
Our specialists have advanced training and extensive experience diagnosing and treating patients with disorders of the pituitary gland. These disorders include acromegaly (where excess growth hormone can lead to oversized bones and organs), to diabetes insipidus (a problem with the concentration of a patient’s urine), hypopituitarism (an underproduction of pituitary hormones), pituitary tumors, septo-optic dysplasia, Cushing syndrome, hypogonadism, pituitary tumors and more. Depending on the type of pituitary disorder, treatments can range from injections of human growth hormone to testosterone supplements, prednisone or other corticosteroids, and surgical removal of a pituitary tumor.
