Craniofacial Disorders
Craniofacial disorders are deformities in the skull, face, ear, palate, nose or vascular structures of the head. These may occur due to a birth defect, trauma or disease process. Typical craniofacial disorders include a cleft palate or cleft lip. Other often-treated craniofacial disorders include vascular malformations – essentially birthmarks that involve blood vessels on the face or head. These as well as other, less common abnormalities can be repaired via plastic and reconstructive surgery. Our physicians offer unsurpassed care for children born with craniofacial disorders via minimally invasive surgeries performed in the state-of-the-art operating facilities of AdventHealth for Children.
