Benign Head and Neck Tumors

Benign tumors of the head and neck can include many thyroid nodules as well as some acoustic neuromas and intracranial tumors, most salivary gland tumors and many other masses. Even though they are not cancerous, they are typically treated by surgical removal. This is in order to ensure that they do not become malignant at some point in the future, to keep them from pressing against other essential head and neck structures, and to address their potentially disfiguring effects. Our surgeons are leading experts in removing both benign and malignant tumors in the head, face and neck. They also perform delicate cosmetic and reconstructive procedures that allow patients to resume a more normal way of life following surgery.
