The Spine Center at Altamonte is pleased to announce that they have partnered with Florida Hospital and Centra Care for the 66th Annual Workers' Compensation Conference and 23rd Annual Safety and Health Conference held August 22-24, at the Orlando World Center Marriott in Orlando, Florida.

This year marks the 100th anniversary of the workers' compensation system in the United States making this year's conference and exhibition a milestone in health care. The conference agenda includes national speakers who are experts on workers' compensation. In addition to the conference there will be exhibits showcasing services of local and national health care providers who are considered leaders in their respective fields.

Chetan Patel, MD, a renowned spine surgeon and medical director of The Spine Center at Altamonte, is a leader in spine care. Dr. Patel has extensive training and education in minimally invasive spine surgery. He is not only a physician but a researcher, educator and author. Dr. Patel has authored a chapter on Spine Care and the US Workers' Compensation System in Orthopedic Knowledge Update: Spine Volume IV, publishing December 2011. This book has been developed by the North American Spine Society and is published by the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons. The book contains the most up to date information on spine treatments and management techniques, advances in technology, and US Health Policy.

Florida Hospital, Centra Care, Dr. Patel and members of the multidisciplinary spine center team, will be available during the conference for questions and discussion. The Spine Center team will be located at booth 741; we look forward to sharing our expertise regarding conservative spine care and unique minimally invasive pathways.
