About Our Program
AdventHealth Kissimmee is a 205-bed acute care hospital located in Kissimmee Florida. Current services include emergency medicine, critical care, internal medicine, interventional radiology, general surgery, and cardiology. At AdventHealth Kissimmee, we provide the caring expertise of the top physicians, nurses and medical staff, so you and your family get the best medical care possible.
The PGY1 pharmacy residency program at Kissimmee is the newest program established in the AdventHealth Central Florida Division South with our inaugural class beginning in June 2022. The pharmacy is affiliated with several colleges of pharmacy and offers advanced pharmacy practice experience rotations for pharmacy students. Pharmacy residents will have the opportunity to engage in the layered learning model advancing both the student and their own experience. The residency program expands both clinical and staffing services at our facility and augments the excellent pharmacy staff we currently have. Residents will participate in a decentralized pharmacy model and work with multidisciplinary teams, monitoring responses to drug therapy and optimizing care to improve patient outcomes. Residents who complete the residency program will develop the critical thinking skills necessary to provide patient-focused care and become confident, independent clinicians in the health care team.
Thank you for your interest in the PGY1 Pharmacy Residency at AdventHealth Kissimmee. Please feel free to contact us with any questions.
