Shawn Bush is the president and chief executive officer of I-CON Systems, Inc. He co-founded the company in 1994, and under his leadership, I-CON Systems has grown to be the leader in electronic plumbing control systems in the correctional industry. Shawn has authored over 80 U.S. and Foreign patents (both issued and pending) on plumbing related control systems. He has been published both nationally and internationally in numerous trade and business publications.
Since 2017, Shawn has served on the AdventHealth Cardiovascular Institute Foundation Board. He has provided outstanding leadership and is a true champion for the cause. Shawn’s generous support helped make The Bush Family Advanced Cardiac Surgical Unit possible. This highly specialized eight bed intensive care unit treats advanced heart and lung patients whose lives hang in the balance through an advanced life support system called ECMO (ExtraCorporeal Membrane Oxygenation). Since the unit opened in June 2017, over 200 ECMO patients have been treated. Shawn’s commitment to AdventHealth’s healing ministry is saving lives every day.

“Our family has been abundantly blessed and we look for opportunities to bless others and the community by working with partners to provide long term impact. AdventHealth leads the way in helping others and our family is honored to partner with AdventHealth to help provide the ongoing, living impact to the community and to join in AdventHealth’s mission extending the healing ministry of Christ.”
Shawn was also a first responder in AdventHealth’s medical mission relief efforts for Hurricane Dorian in the Bahamas and Hurricane Maria in Puerto Rico. He helped organize pilots, planes, helicopters, fuel, and the transportation of physicians and critical medical supplies to keep remote hospitals open and patients from dying in the immediate aftermath of the destruction on both islands.
Shawn has also been a generous supporter of AdventHealth Golden Gala and CVI’s annual Clay Shoot to benefit underserved heart patients. In addition, he is playing an important role engaging Cardiovascular Institute physician leaders as AdventHealth Foundation Central Florida partners.
We are truly blessed by Shawn’s commitment to our healing mission, his vote of confidence in our clinical team and his compassionate heart.
Currently, Shawn lives in Winter Park with his wife, Jennifer. Shawn and Jennifer have 3 daughters: Douglass, Parker and Cameron.
