Adventist Health System has named Tom Nesteruk to the position of vice president of human resources shared services. In this role, Nesteruk will oversee the shared services functions including talent acquisition, employee relations, employee contact center and HR administration. He will report to Olesea Azevedo, senior vice president and chief human resources officer for Adventist Health System.
"Tom brings a breadth of human resources and shared services experience, and his leadership, expertise and diverse background will help us continue to improve our people systems and implement models and structures that enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of our HR operations," said Azevedo.
Nesteruk has more than 20 years of HR leadership experience, which includes serving in roles at large global organizations. Before joining Adventist Health System, he most recently led human resources shared services operations at BAE Systems, Inc., one of the world's largest aerospace defense companies. Prior to that, he led global HR shared services for Merck.
"Adventist Health System is an industry leader and I am excited to join such a highly-respected, purpose-driven organization," said Nesteruk. "I look forward to working with our leadership and talented team members to advance our mission of Extending the Healing Ministry of Christ."
Nesteruk earned a master's degree in organizational management from the University of Phoenix, and both a bachelor's degree in human resources management and an associate degree in accounting from the Indiana University of Pennsylvania.
He and his wife, Jessica, have two daughters, ages 14 and 12. In his free time, Nesteruk enjoys playing golf, boating and spending time at the beach with his family.
