AdventHealth has named Todd Goodman as the health system’s chief financial officer, effective Feb. 1, following Paul Rathbun’s recent decision to retire at the end of January. In this role reporting to President/CEO David Banks, Goodman will provide systemwide financial leadership across the organization’s continuum of care.
“Todd is a trusted and experienced leader who brings a strong commitment to faith-based, whole-person care and the financial stability that sustains it,” Banks said. “I’m confident in the leadership he’ll bring as we continue advancing our mission.”
Most recently, Goodman served as the executive vice president of finance for AdventHealth, providing executive oversight for corporate finance and reporting and managed care, as well as financial leadership for AdventHealth’s operations in Florida and the Primary Health Division. He previously held the roles of senior vice president and chief financial officer for AdventHealth Florida and AdventHealth’s Central Florida Division. He has been with the organization since 1991, serving in various finance leadership positions.
“I’m deeply honored to serve as AdventHealth’s next chief financial officer and grateful for the trust and support of our leadership and board,” Goodman said. “It’s a privilege to advance our mission of Extending the Healing Ministry of Christ through sound financial leadership. I believe in our bright future and look forward to building on our strong financial legacy to ensure AdventHealth continues to grow, thrive and serve our communities with excellence and purpose.”
Goodman holds a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Central Florida and a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Southwestern Adventist University, and is a licensed CPA. He has actively served on several councils and board committees, including AdventHealth’s Community Health Impact Council; the finance committee of the Florida Conference of Seventh-day Adventists; the boards and finance committees of AdventHealth University and Southwestern Adventist University; and the Heart of Florida United Way Community Investment Committee. His leadership in these capacities reflects a lasting commitment to service, collaboration and community advancement.
He and his wife, Melinda, make their home in Central Florida, and are the proud parents of two adult daughters.
