Sergent recognized with Extra Mile Award

Mary Sergent was awarded Gordon Hospitals prestigious Extra Mile Award. Sergent, RN, is a care manager at Gordon Hospital.

This special award was created by members of the hospitals Employee Engagement Committee to recognize employees who go above and beyond the call of duty on a regular basis. It is awarded monthly to deserving employees selected by the hospitals directors.

Morgan, director of care management, nominated Sergent with the following words: Mary has made a huge difference in how care management is perceived by other departments in the hospital. She has received several compliments from other directors stating how wonderful she is. Care management and Gordon Hospital are blessed to have her. She continues to teach our new care managers how to work and treat our patients, staff, and visitors with the kindness, compassion, and the healing hand of Christ that our mission is based upon.

I am very honored and thankful to receive this award, said Sergent.

Outside of her profession, Sergent enjoys spending time with her husband, Nick, and daughter, Breanna; DIY projects; and helping others.
