Park Ridge Health is the first in its region to add the Mazor X' Robotic Guidance Platform to its Spine Center of Excellence. Mazor-X' Robotic Guidance System is leading-edge, robotic-assisted platform delivering accurate and precise results for patients, crucial to the long-term success of spinal implants during general spinal.
Minimally invasive procedures with their smaller incisions can pose a challenge to surgeons due to the limited view of the patient's anatomy. The Mazor X' Robotic Guidance Platform helps overcome this challenge with a 3D comprehensive surgical plan and analytics that give the surgeon comprehensive information and visualization before the surgery starts. Consequently, the Platform supports the surgeons' commitment to operate with precision. 'The surgeon still performs the surgery, but the technological advances of the robotic guidance system give the surgeon super-human abilities and accuracies never before demonstrated.' said Stephen David, MD, Park Ridge Health Medical Director, Orthopedic Program and Total Spine Center. Dr. David has become the physician champion for robotic spine surgery in Western North Carolina and the first surgeon to perform robotic spine surgery in our region. 'The Mazor-X' Robotic Guidance System is a breakthrough, game-changing back/spine surgical technology that is enabling our team of spinal surgeons to take the Park Ridge Health Spine Center of Excellence to the highest level of safety and accuracy in our region.'
With precision and predictability, the Mazor X' Robotic Guidance System assists surgeons in the treatment of many spine conditions, such as herniated discs, spinal stenosis, spinal arthritis and scoliosis.'Park Ridge Health is thrilled to offer the cutting-edge Mazor-X' Robotic Guidance System to the communities we serve,' said Jimm Bunch, Park Ridge Health President and CEO. 'The addition of the Mazor-X' System to Park Ridge Health's Surgery care options opens the choices for people who are looking to regain a quality of life and experience health and wellness.'In 2017, Park Ridge Health became the first health system in Western North Carolina to earn The Joint Commission's Gold Seal of Approval' for the Spine Center of Excellence Certification. The Gold Seal of Approval' is a symbol of quality that reflects an organization's commitment to providing safe and effective patient care.
