ORLANDO, Fla., July 8, 2024 – The AdventHealth Millenia ER today opened its doors to the public.
Community leaders and team members came together during a ribbon-cutting ceremony last month at the new offsite emergency room located in the Millenia area of Orlando, bringing trusted emergency care for Central Florida residents and visitors.
AdventHealth Millenia ER expands the health care system’s network to better serve residents and visitors in Orange County. The approximately 19,000-square-foot facility has 24 private patient rooms (including two pediatric-friendly rooms to make ER visits less stressful for young patients); respiratory therapy; diagnostic imaging, including CT scans, X-ray and ultrasound; and a full-service laboratory.
“We are pleased to add this ER to our expanding network of care across Central Florida,” said Kari Vargas, CEO of AdventHealth’s northwest market. “This region continues to grow, and we are growing along with the community. This addition will help us continue to provide emergency care in a setting that’s close to home.”
The facility is staffed by a comprehensive clinical team including board-certified emergency physicians and emergency nurses.

“AdventHealth Millenia ER will deliver on our brand promise of whole-person health, providing hope and healing not just to the body, but the mind and spirit,” said Dr. Nicholas McAlister, director of emergency medicine at AdventHealth Millenia ER. “The ER will provide a convenient option for area residents to access emergency care close to home from the number one emergency care team in Central Florida.”
The opening of the ER brings more than 60 high-paying jobs to the area.
“It is an honor for me and my fellow City Council members to welcome AdventHealth to district six in Orlando,” said Commissioner Bakari Burns. “The presence of AdventHealth in our community will not only offer residents a health care provider to be proud of, but also bring good high-paying health care jobs to our district.”
The freestanding ER joins the robust AdventHealth network of connected health care and the No. 1 hospital in Greater Orlando, according to U.S. News & World Report, for 13 years in a row.
