PALM COAST, Fla., August 24, 2017 Florida Hospital Flagler has appointed three new community leaders to the Foundations board of directors: Steve Davis, Richard Haas and Sid Nowell.
Davis is a retired healthcare architect and moved to Flagler County in October 2004. During his 35-year career, he specialized in designing hospitals and medical facilities. Working with the Cleveland Clinic, Davis developed the concept of Healing Hospitality. Locally, Davis used this concept to assist Florida Hospital Flagler with making specific changes to common areas and patient care areas throughout the hospital, improving the atmosphere and environment and enhancing the experience and comfort for patients and their families.
As a recent patient, I experienced firsthand the importance of our hospital to the community, Davis said. I am delighted to be serving on the Foundation Board.
Haas has been a Palm Coast resident for more than 15 years and is a retired business executive specializing in advertising and sales.
Haas and his family have personally experienced the quality medical care available at Florida Hospital Flagler. It was this experience that fueled his passion to help facilitate the growth of the hospital and foundation.
I want to do more and donate my time and efforts to help the hospital grow, Haas said. Being a part of the Florida Hospital Flagler Foundation board will allow me to do exactly that.
Nowell has been a Flagler County resident since August 1995. He recently retired after spending 42 years in the legal profession serving governmental, municipal, corporate and individual clients. He previously served on the Florida Hospital Flagler Foundation board from 2009 to 2011.
I am excited to return to the Foundation Board and support the continued growth and reach of Florida Hospital Flagler, Nowell said.
Davis, Haas and Nowell join the team of 17 current board members, bringing the total number of members to 21. The current board members include: Judy Cash, Rema Cole, Peter Freytag, Laura Gilvary, Marilyn Gingles, Charlie Helm, Dr. Ron Jimenez, Skip Keating, Alan Messer, Holsey Moorman, Donald O'Brien, Tony Papandrea, Lea Stokes, John Subers, Bill Tol, Bruce Van Deusen, and Jamie Woyton.
