DAYTONA BEACH, Fla., January 26, 2017 Florida Hospital Memorial Medical Center has selected Marjorie Futia to serve as assistant director of physician operations for Florida Hospital HealthCare Partners, the employed group of physicians for the Florida Hospital East Florida Region, which encompasses the six Florida Hospitals within Volusia and Flagler counties.
Florida Hospital HealthCare Partners consists of more than 170 physicians, including both primary care physicians and specialists, and enjoys a mutual partnership with Florida Hospital based upon the close alignment of the hospitals mission and values.
Futia has more than 30 years of experience and previously served as the vice president of operations for a large hospital system, which included nearly 500 providers, as well as medical students and residents, in the upstate New York area. Additionally, her past experience includes creating and operating a centralized billing office and managing several departments within the hospital.
In her most recent position, Futia served as practice manager, providing oversight of operations and finance for Florida Hospital Memorial Medical Centers Florida Hospital HealthCare Partners anesthesiologists, hospitalists, and neonatologists.
In her new role as assistant director of physician operations, she will be responsible for providing operational and financial oversight for both inpatient and outpatient practices within Florida Hospital HealthCare Partners at Florida Hospital Memorial Medical Center.
A New Smyrna Beach resident, Futia earned a Master of Business Administration from Siena College. She is also a certified professional coder (CPC) as recognized by the American Academy of Professional Coders and holds a certified medical office manager (CMOM) designation from the Practice Management Institute, and is actively involved in Medical Group Management Association nationally.
