Hurricane Ian updates from AdventHealth

The following updates are for AdventHealth Central Florida facilities in Flagler, Lake, Orange, Osceola, Seminole and Volusia counties. Any individual campus updates will also be listed below.

AdventHealth's Home Care, Hospice, Home Infusion and Respiratory and Equipment services have returned to normal after the hurricane. Please refer to the numbers below in previous updates if you have any questions.

Reopenings after Hurricane Ian

Most Centra Care, Imaging and Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation offices are now open in Central Florida. However, patients are advised to call the location before they go.

Closures related to Hurricane Ian

• To ensure the safety of our patients and team members, our AdventHealth Medical Group offices will be closed Wednesday and Thursday. If you have a scheduled appointment during this time, the office will contact you to reschedule. We will resume practice operations once it is safe to do so.
• AdventHealth Hospice Care Central Florida and AdventHealth Hospice Care East Florida are pausing home visits and admissions during the storm. Visits will resume once the all-clear has been given by the authorities and is safe for our team members to do so. We encourage our Hospice Care Central Florida patients to call our Patient Service Line at Call407-379-0311. Hospice Care East Florida patients should call Call800-273-1658. We will provide support over the phone throughout the emergency.
• AdventHealth Home Infusion is also pausing visits and admissions during the storm. Visits will resume once the all-clear has been given by the authorities and is safe for our team members to do so. We encourage our patients to call our Patient Service Line at Call1-800-446-2564. We will provide support over the phone throughout the emergency.

• AdventHealth Respiratory and Equipment will pause patient visits and admissions Wednesday and Thursday. Deliveries/Visits will resume once the all-clear has been given by the authorities and is safe for our team members to do so. We encourage our patients to call our Patient Service Line at Call1-877-902-3473. We will provide support over the phone throughout the emergency.

• AdventHealth Home Care Central Florida will also pause patient visits and admissions. Visits will resume once the all-clear has been given by the authorities and is safe for our team members to do so. We encourage our patients to call our Patient Service Line at Call407-691-8205. We will provide support over the phone throughout the emergency.

• AdventHealth Home Care Waterman is pausing patient visits and admissions. Visits will resume once the all-clear has been given by the authorities and is safe for our team members to do so. We encourage our patients to call our Patient Service Line at Call352-253-3900. We will provide support over the phone throughout the emergency.

• AdventHealth Home Care East Florida is pausing patient visits and admissions Wednesday and Thursday. Visits will resume once the all-clear has been given by the authorities and is safe for our team members to do so. We encourage our patients to call our Patient Service Line at Call386-231-4760. We will provide support over the phone throughout the emergency.

Centra Care clinics closed for in-person visits

AdventHealth Centra Care clinics in Central Florida are now closed for in-person visits Wednesday and Thursday. The hospital system's free-standing imaging centers and sports medicine and rehabilitation centers are also closed during the same period.

Video visits at Centra Care remain available for non-emergency patients through 8 am on Friday. The visits are being offered for free during Hurricane Ian as a public service to help keep our communities safe. Extensive preparations deployed

AdventHealth is deploying its extensive safety preparations as Hurricane Ian approaches the region.

The health system has stockpiled thousands of gallons of water and generators are standing by to run the hospital on emergency power if necessary. Sandbags are prepared should they be needed to secure doors and windows.

“The safety of our patients, visitors and team members is of the utmost importance,” said Dr. Neil Finkler, Chief Clinical Officer of AdventHealth’s Central Florida Division. “Our patients can rest assured that the hospital is a safe place, that we are fully staffed and will continue to deliver our advanced level of care throughout Hurricane Ian. All of our hospitals and freestanding ERs are open for our community’s emergent health needs.”

Residents are reminded that hospitals are not public shelters. Residents should contact their county’s emergency operations center for locations of public shelters. While we understand the desire to remain with loved ones during this time, we strongly encourage potential visitors to consider the advice of emergency officials to stay off the roads and remain at home until the storm passes.

Free telemedicine video visits 8 am Wednesday through 8 am on Friday

ORLANDO, Fla., Sept. 27, 2022 – AdventHealth wants Floridians to stay safe and well during Hurricane Ian. Residents who have a non-emergency health need but are unable to leave home can contact the board-certified health care teams at AdventHealth Video Visits. These experts will be available for free visits, 24 hours a day, from 8 am Wednesday to 8 am Friday.

The free visits can be accessed by any Florida resident affected by Hurricane Ian via the AdventHealth app, available through the App Store or Google Play. Patients must use the promo code “Ian” to access the free service offered by AdventHealth Video Visits to help the community through the storm.
