Gordon Hospital recently presented a special award during a Hospital Week chapel service, recognizing a physician for best reflecting the hospitals mission of extending the healing ministry of Christ.
The His Touch in My Hands Award, is given to an outstanding physician on the medical staff who best reflects the spirit of God by blending spiritual and medical caregiving. This years recipient is Chris Yamamoto, MD, of Gordon Hospital Owasa Family Medicine.

is a graduate of Loma Linda University School of Medicine in California. He completed his internship and residency at the Womack Army Medical Center in North Carolina. Yamamoto is board-certified in family medicine. In addition to treating patients at Gordon Hospital Owasa Family Medicine, he is also the medical director of wound care and treats patients in the Gordon Hospital Center for Wound Healing and Hyperbaric Medicine.
