Florida Hospital Emergency Rooms are feeling the effects of Hurricane Irma with a storm of patients needing medical care since curfews have been lifted by emergency management officials. There are many easy, convenient, and less expensive ways to access health care beyond an emergency room for minor illnesses and injuries.
We know that many people have lost power and may be confined to their homes or a shelter, so we want to help them seek the medical care they need, wherever they are. We are responding to our community by extending our eCare visits for FREE (regularly $49 per visit) through Friday, September 15th at 8:00 pm. An eCare visit is a live, secure telehealth medical provider visit and is ideal for the following conditions:
- Skin Conditions
- Minor Injuries
- Lower Back Pain
- Infections
- Urinary Tract Infection
- Allergies
- Coughs, Colds, Bronchitis and Flu
- Sinus and Upper Respiratory Infections
- Pink Eye
Its simple to use. Download the free app on any smartphone or tablet by searching, eCare or Florida Hospital eCare and then follow the directions to request an eCare visit with a Florida Hospital medical provider. Most eCare visits are available in less than 10 minutes from the time of request.
Another convenient way to be treated for minor emergencies is by walking in at any of our six convenient Florida Hospital Centra Care Urgent Care locations, or scheduling an appointment online at centracare.org or calling toll free at Call844-259-6090. The only location that has not yet reopened is the South Tampa Centra Care Urgent Care on Dale Mabry due to a power outage. We will advise when it is up and running again.
