AdventHealth has named Eric Lunde president and CEO for AdventHealth DeLand, effective Sept. 26. He will report to Lorenzo Brown, president/CEO for AdventHealth Fish Memorial and the West Volusia market.
“Eric has an extensive background in health care leadership serving in a wide range of service lines and support areas,” said Audrey Gregory, PhD, president/CEO for the North Region of AdventHealth’s Central Florida Division. “This broad experience in hospital operations, coupled with his results-driven, people-focused approach, will serve our DeLand team as they continue to expand their reach in West Volusia County.”
Prior to his most recent role as chief operating officer at AdventHealth Daytona Beach, Lunde served at Kettering Health in Ohio for five years, more recently as president of Kettering Health Troy and Kettering Health Piqua, and previously as executive director of Kettering Health’s brain and spine service line. He has previous experience at AdventHealth, serving at AdventHealth Manchester in Kentucky for more than 10 years in progressive roles as director of marketing, community outreach and foundation; executive director of physician practices, radiology, materials management, nutritional services and marketing, community outreach and foundation; vice president of physician services; and chief operating officer.
“An effective leader understands the importance of a common mission, shared vision and strong culture in driving organizational success,” Brown said. “Eric is committed to building on this foundation and partnering with our DeLand leaders, providers and team members to deliver high-quality, faith-based health care in support of our mission.”
Lunde earned a Master of Business Administration from Walden University, a Master of Education from Lesley University and a Bachelor of Science in commercial art from Union College. He currently serves as a member of the Daytona Regional Chamber of Commerce board of directors and of the Civic League of the Halifax Area. He is also a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives.
“I consider health care to be a special calling. Every day, individuals needing care place their trust in the sacred hands of our AdventHealth caregivers,” he said. “I look forward to working alongside our exceptional AdventHealth DeLand team to further extend our mission and our promise of wholeness to the communities we serve.”
