AdventHealth Tampa and AdventHealth Orlando recently cut the ribbon on the innovative cobas® 8100, a fully automated system that allows hospital staff to cut down on the time it takes for doctors and patients to receive diagnostic and blood work results.
AdventHealth Tampa, for instance, performs more than 5 million lab tests per year and with the innovative cobas® 8100 system, the laboratory team can provide an industry leading turnaround time of less than 30 minutes for a lab test.
“AdventHealth is on the forefront of leading-edge innovation and technology,” said Brian Adams, president and CEO of AdventHealth Tampa. “This lab expansion allows us to continue to set the standard in our community to provide exceptional service to every patient, every time.”
In addition to providing convenient diagnosis for doctors and patients, the automated system by Roche also allows staff to simplify and streamline lab operations and prioritize emergency lab tests, if needed. Roche is one of the largest biotech companies in the world, creating innovative medicines and diagnostic tests that help millions of patients globally.
