RIVERVIEW, Fla. — AdventHealth Riverview celebrated the holiday season with Lighting the Way, a festive drive-through event held on Saturday, December 7, 2024, from 6 to 9 pm. Guests enjoyed holiday light displays alongside hospital team members, all while supporting families in need through The Emergency Care Help Organization’s (ECHO) Blessings Bags initiative.

Attendees brought critical donations, including holiday cards, toiletries, and non-perishable food items, to help fill Blessings Bags. Each bag includes essential items such as shampoo, baby wipes, peanut butter, crackers, and more to support local families during the holiday season.

AdventHealth Riverview, which opened on October 23, 2024, is the health system’s newest greenfield hospital. The 282,000-square-foot facility opened with 82 beds, with plans to expand to 202 beds to meet the needs of the rapidly growing South Hillsborough County community. The hospital offers essential services, including emergency care, cardiology, labor and delivery, bariatrics, general and orthopedic surgery, and more.
“This is powerful because we’re showcasing the fact that we’re here, we’re a part of it, and we’re completely locked in to loving the community in a way that they can have fun with us, enjoy Christmas, enjoy the season, and really spend some special moments making memories as a family,” said Jason Newmyer, president and CEO of AdventHealth Riverview.
