AdventHealth’s supply chain team has ranked No. 6 in the Gartner Healthcare Supply Chain Top 25 for 2022. Now in its 14th year, this year’s ranking identifies, celebrates and profiles examples of supply chain excellence across the country.
The national recognition follows a No. 10 ranking for AdventHealth in 2021, and reflects the health system’s achievements and leadership in building resilient and socially responsible supply chains, improving patient outcomes and optimizing costs.

For the first time this year, the Top 25 ranking includes an environmental, social and governance (ESG) measure in its quantitative metric. Published with the ranking is a report that highlights three major themes of focus across health system supply chains: aligning to increasing financial pressures, sustaining and building risk and resiliency capabilities, and making ESG a supply chain imperative.
Led by the supply chain team, AdventHealth’s accelerated expense reduction work was also recognized for exceptional cost optimization. This innovative cost-saving initiative is helping the organization to make significant strides in lowering expenses and improving resource utilization.
“While we continue to improve costs and increase resiliency across our organization, this year, we have a new focus on understanding our current environmental footprint and developing future plans to address sustainable and socially responsible efforts for the patients and communities we serve,” Farabaugh said.
