Computerworld has named AdventHealth as one of the best places to work in IT for 2023. This awards program showcases IT departments that offer employees competitive benefits and compensation as well as provide a stimulating work environment.
In the 29th year of the awards program, AdventHealth ranked 54th on the 2023 list among large organizations – those with 5,000 or more employees. For the first year, Computerworld expanded the award’s eligibility beyond U.S.-based companies to now include organizations across the globe.
AdventHealth supports information technology systems across more than 1,200 care sites, including hospitals, home health and hospice agencies, skilled nursing facilities, physician practices and business offices.
“Our AdventHealth IT team, in collaboration with AdventHealth’s leadership, intentionally sought out to create a culture of collaboration, communication and a driving purpose to continually improve the IT tools and solutions for the caregivers on the front lines,” said Brent Snyder, chief information officer for AdventHealth. “To receive this award in a year dedicated to deploying our new electronic medical record system, Epic, to 80% of the organization while continuing to work primarily virtually due to COVID, is a validation of AdventHealth’s and the IT team's hard work, resilience and dedication to our mission.”
“Adapting to a ‘new normal’ has put additional demands on IT organizations at companies of all sizes. This year’s winning companies have stepped up with increased IT staffing and a variety of innovative professional development opportunities. The result of these efforts is that not only are IT staffs engaged and productive, but the entire business benefits from IT’s ability to support evolving workplace models and changing business and customer needs,” said Rob O’Regan, global director of content strategy for Computerworld publisher Foundry. “Importantly, this year’s award winners are laser-focused on diversity initiatives to expand the IT talent pool and promote workplace diversity and inclusion.”
