AdventHealth Palm Coast is currently accepting construction proposals for an Emergency Generator Project as part of the FEMA Hazard Mitigation Grant Program. Please reference project scope below. All inquiries should be sent to Margaret.Mott@adventhealth.com.
Scope:
The HMGP project shall provide protection to the facility by installing a 650 kW generator to increase the hospital’s capability to operate their HVAC systems during a total loss of normal power when relying strictly on emergency generators to power the facility. The project also includes the installation of an electrical bus board and necessary switchgear, a room enclosure to house the switchgear panel and the electrical infrastructure needed to connect the new emergency generator switchgear to the existing chiller panel.
The generator shall be protected against a 500-year flood event by implementing specific activities or by locating the generator outside the Special Flood Hazard Area (SFHA) and shall be protected against wind with a rated enclosure based on its location requirements. Activities shall be completed in strict compliance with Federal, State and Local Rules and Regulations.
