AdventHealth Ottawa and the City of Wellsville hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Friday, July 11, to officially open the newly expanded AdventHealth Wellsville Primary Care Clinic, now AdventHealth Wellsville Health Park. This location’s expansion will offer improved access to whole-person care for residents in Wellsville, Franklin County and beyond.

More than 100 attendees—including local residents, business leaders, and elected officials, gathered to celebrate the opening of the expanded clinic. Among those in attendance was U.S. Rep. Sharice Davids who delivered remarks highlighting the importance of expanding rural health care access through collaborative efforts.

The Wellsville and Ottawa Area Chambers of Commerce joined the celebration, as did key partners from the City of Wellsville, who played a vital role in bringing the project to life.

“This is a wonderful example of what can happen when AdventHealth Ottawa and our local communities work hand-in-hand,” said Brendan Johnson, president and chief executive officer of AdventHealth Ottawa. “The expansion of services here in Wellsville will improve access and outcomes for countless families and patients.”

The expansion features seven exam rooms, up from four, and will welcome rotating specialty services from AdventHealth Ottawa in Fall 2025, including Behavioral Health, Rheumatology and Women’s Care. This expansion creates a space for Wellsville to function very similarly to AdventHealth Ottawa’s Health Park.

Primary care providers Courtney Petz, MD, Board-certified in family medicine, and Kelsey Lewis, APRN-C, are leading the care team at the location, providing compassionate care for patients of all ages.

The Wellsville Health Park expansion reflects AdventHealth’s continued commitment to serving rural communities through strategic growth, innovation, and strong community partnerships.
