NEW SMYRNA BEACH, Fla., February 24, 2020 – AdventHealth New Smyrna Beach recognized patient care technician Dustin Rogers with the Starfish Award.
This award recognizes team members who are not nurses, but also provide impactful, compassionate patient care.
While caring for a patient, Rogers, who works on the medical surgical unit, went above and beyond to serve a patient’s wife. After noticing that her shoes were soiled, he gave her an extra pair of his own shoes to wear.
In recognition of this honor, Rogers and his department received cake and a Starfish banner to display.
