AdventHealth Gordon recently hosted free health screenings on Sept. 8 and 10 for local Gordon County, City of Calhoun and State Patrol police officers and administrative employees.
Screenings offered included a cardiac assessment, cholesterol, triglycerides and glucose screening, low-dose lung cancer screening, mammogram scheduling and breast exam, nutrition counseling, oral, head and neck cancer screening, prostate cancer screening, skin cancer screening and a stress management evaluation.
Coordinated by Eric Dunkel, director of network development at AdventHealth Gordon, the screenings were administered by AdventHealth Gordon providers including Spencer Maddox, MD; William Tong, MD; Terrilyn Blackstock, NP-C; Jeana Handley, FNP-C; Destiny Howe, NP-C; and Seth VanDyke, FNP-C. Joe Langshaw, PA-C, of the Skin Cancer & Cosmetic Dermatology Center administered the skin cancer screenings.
