AdventHealth Fish Memorial Donates Wheelchairs to Elementary School

ORANGE CITY, Fla., May 21, 2019 – AdventHealth Fish Memorial donated wheelchairs to Orange City Elementary School on May 20.

“We currently have 562 students in grades VPK through 5. These wheelchairs will be used in emergency situations when a student or adult may not be able to walk to our clinic,” Orange City Elementary School Principle Charles Bynum said. “We greatly appreciate AdventHealth Fish Memorial for their continued support, which in turn allows us to support our students and families. Through their donations of back packs, school supplies and medical supplies for our clinic, AdventHealth makes it possible for Orange City Elementary to continue assisting our students and families in need.”

In 2018, AdventHealth entered an historic $2 million, five-year partnership with Volusia County Schools to address three key issues affecting students: career development in the healthcare industry; student athlete health; and chronic absenteeism. These wheelchairs will help support the health and wellbeing of Volusia County students.
