In May 2024, AdventHealth Shawnee Mission celebrated Aiden, Angelo, Aubrey, Meredith and Tatum, the 2024 graduating class of the Project SEARCH internship program. Project SEARCH’s primary objective is to secure competitive employment through a one-year transition from school-to-work program for students with intellectual or developmental disabilities. Together, these five interns have completed professional development rotations in AdventHealth Shawnee Mission's sterile processing unit, Surgery Center, environmental services department, the Birth Center, B.E. Smith Family Center and more. AdventHealth Shawnee Mission is grateful for our relationship with these five interns and the dedicated mentors and program facilitators of Project SEARCH. Congratulations to these incredible, hard-working individuals as they continue on their career journeys.
