PALM COAST, Fla., May 19, 2016 Advanced ICU Care, the nations largest provider of tele-ICU (intensive care unit) services, recognized Florida Hospital Flagler ICU medical director and intensivist Dr. Gilles Chemtob with the 2016 I SEE YOU CARE award.
Advanced ICU Care is Florida Hospital Flagler's partner in providing high-acuity telemedicine services in the ICU, and this award recognizes the collaboration between bedside care providers in the hospital and Advanced ICU Cares remote critical care teams.
There were four categories of recognition hospital, administrator, doctor, and nurse and Chemtob was one of only eight award recipients, selected from more than 65 hospitals.
Achieving peak success in almost any meaningful endeavor requires expertise, a willingness to contribute meaningfully to a team, and a commitment to pursuing outcomes of consequence. Achieving peak success in the demanding clinical environment of the ICU requires these attributes in quantity, said Lou Silverman, CEO of Advanced ICU Care. We are excited to recognize Dr. Chemtob with a 2016 I SEE YOU CARE Award. He exemplifies the commitment to team and purpose in the tele-ICU collaboration that saves lives and improves patient outcomes. We are proud to recognize Dr. Chemtob's leadership and vision in advancing telemedicine.
We are so proud of Dr. Chemtob and thrilled that Advanced ICU Care has recognized him for the excellent care he provides in the ICU, as well as his skilled leadership as ICU medical director, said Robert Davis, Florida Hospital Flagler chief nursing officer. This award is a real honor as it recognizes the teamwork and collaboration between our staff here in the hospital and the remote tele-ICU staff. It is this collaboration that is critical to caring for patients in the continuous care environment of an ICU.
Chemtob was recognized in a ceremony at Florida Hospital Flagler on April 25 and was also honored with a donation in his name to the Florida Hospital Flagler Foundation.
I am truly humbled by this honor, said Chemtob. Every day in the ICU, we strive to provide our patients with the very best care. To be one of eight recipients in the nation, it gives our team a sense of validation to the care we provide around the clock in the ICU.
