New Cardiopulmonary Medical Director Named

PALM COAST, Fla., February 17, 2016 Florida Hospital Flagler has selected pulmonologist Dr. Martin Kubiet to serve as the medical director of the hospital's cardiopulmonary department.

Florida Hospital Flagler's cardiopulmonary department consists of four primary services, including: respiratory care; echocardiograms, which are sonograms of the heart; electroencephalograms (EEG), which measure the brains electrical activity; and stress testing and electrocardiograms (ECG or EKG) which measure the electrical activity of the heart. Florida Hospital Flagler performs approximately 10,000 inpatient cardiopulmonary treatments and tests per month and 2,000 outpatient cardiopulmonary treatments and tests per month.

In his new role as Florida Hospital Flagler's medical director of the cardiopulmonary department, Kubiet will assess and improve the quality of care, treatment and services, as well as develop and implement policies and procedures.

Kubiet is board certified in pulmonary disease, internal medicine, and critical care, and has practiced at Florida Hospital Flagler for 13 years.
