PALM COAST, Fla., May 16, 2017 On May 11, Florida Hospital Flagler recognized Svetlana Tesler with the 2017 clinical excellence in nursing award.

A registered nurse in the intensive care unit (ICU), Tesler was honored after five colleagues nominated her for this award.

She has gone above and beyond to fulfill her duties as a nurse and employee here. She is reliable, compassionate and a joy to work with, a colleague wrote in a nomination. The patients receive great care when in her hands, whether it be with critical issues or getting their hair washed or teeth brushed. Her sense of teamwork exceeds that of many, as she is always there to help, whether it be on our unit or in other units.

She is the most helpful, amazing nurse I could hope to work with. She is always willing to lend a hand to a nurse or patient in need, another wrote in a separate nomination. Lana is the nurse I would choose to take care of me, were I in the hospital.
