Having the right primary care provider makes all the difference — that’s why we’re here to help you ensure your Medicare plan supports your care needs.

The Medicare Annual Enrollment Period (AEP) is now open from October 15 to December 7. Keep reading to learn more about your options, or call us at Call833-323-6724 Monday through Friday between 9 am and 5 pm EST. Our team will be happy to guide you to someone who can help with your Medicare enrollment questions and find the plan that's right for you.

What Is Medicare and When Do I Become Eligible?

Medicare is a federal health insurance program for patients 65 and older, or younger people with certain medical conditions or disabilities that qualify under government rules.

Unless you have a qualifying condition, you’re first eligible to apply for Medicare three months before turning 65, and you can apply up to three months after. If you still have health insurance through an employer, you can continue that coverage rather than switching to Medicare.

What to Do Before Choosing a Medicare Plan

Before deciding on a Medicare plan, make sure it covers the area where you live and your prescribed medications. It’s always a good idea to review the costs associated with the insurance plans (copays, coinsurance, deductibles) to be sure they fit within your health care budget. And remember to check if your preferred doctors are in network with your insurance plan.

If you choose to make Original Medicare your primary health insurance, it’s best to enroll in Part A and Part B as soon as you’re eligible. To talk with a licensed health insurance expert on the plan options available to you, call us at 833-323-6724 to be guided to someone who can help.
