Dr. Desai's selection of AdventHealth stemmed from its robust informatics program and adept team. Additionally, the institution's warm and supportive environment, evident in her interactions with staff thus far, played a pivotal role in her decision. She is looking forward to learning about the operations and technologies throughout AdventHealth. Nina is new to Orlando and is hoping to try many different restaurants and try to find some fun art classes and activities to do with fellow residents. As a career aspiration, Dr. Desai is keenly interested in the field of oncology informatics, with a potential focus on collaborating within Beacon to develop chemotherapy order sets.

Dr. Desmond had an APPE rotation with the Informatics team and they inspired her to continue her path along that specialty. She is looking forward to bonding with her co-residents and learning the AdventHealth system across different locations. Sabrina enjoys crocheting, line dancing, listening to music/going to concerts, and enjoying time with her friends! Dr. Desmond plans to spend her days remotely working on spreadsheets, inventory optimizations, or workflow improvement processes.

Dr. Zhai chose AdventHealth for its empowering learning atmosphere, diverse project opportunities, abundant interdepartmental interactions, and innovation-based informatics education. Dr. Zhai is filled with excitement at the prospect of making new friends in Orlando and working alongside a team of exceptional colleagues. The chance to engage with talented individuals and be part of a dynamic team is a source of great enthusiasm. As a newcomer to the city, Dr. Zhai is looking forward to exploring the Orlando’s cultural diversity, culinary delights, and artistic performances. Visiting the iconic theme parks is unquestionably a must-do on his itinerary. In his free time, he likes to watch anime, explore food/restaurants, enjoys filming and photography, and spending time with family/friends. Dr. Zhai’s career goal is to pursue a role as an informatics pharmacist and contemplate additional master's degree and IT certifications for professional enrichment.
