
Michael Kalita, RPh, MBA

Mr. Kalita received his BS in Pharmacy and his Executive Masters of Business Administration from the State University of New York at Buffalo. Prior to joining AdventHealth for Children in 2014 he has served in various leadership roles at The Women and Children’s Hospital of Buffalo as Assistant Director of Pharmacy, Pharmacy Manager, and Director of Support Services.
Dr. Kalita is a member of the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists, Florida Society of Health-Systems Pharmacists, New York State Council of Health-Systems Pharmacists and the American College of Healthcare Executives.

Caitlin Crosley, PharmD, AE-C, BCPPS
Clinical Specialist, General Pediatric Medicine
Required Learning Experience: General Pediatric Medicine
Dr. Crosley received her Doctor of Pharmacy in 2006 from Ferris State University in Big Rapids, Michigan. She went on to complete a pharmacy practice residency from Primary Children’s Medical Center in Salt Lake City, Utah in 2007. Her pediatric residency was completed at Peyton Manning Children’s Hospital at St. Vincent in Indianapolis, Indiana in 2008. Following her residency she worked at Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh in 2008. She joined AdventHealth for Children in July 2009 and is enjoying her role as a general pediatric medicine clinical specialist.
Dr. Crosley is currently a member of the Pediatric Pharmacy Advocacy Group, American College of Clinical Pharmacy, and the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists.

Deborah Maka, PharmD
Clinical Specialist, Pediatric Intensive Care Unit

Dr. Maka received her Doctor of Pharmacy from Butler University. She completed a Pharmacy Practice Residency at Arkansas Children’s Hospital. Following her residency she worked at The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. She joined AdventHealth in 2011. She precepts pharmacy students and residents during their pediatric intensive care rotations.
Dr. Maka is a member of the American College of Clinical Pharmacists, the Society of Critical Care Medicine, and the Children’s Oncology Group.

Kristen M. Jones, PharmD
Clinical Specialist, Neonatal Intensive Care Unit
Required Learning Experience: Neonatal ICU
Dr. Jones received her Doctor of Pharmacy degree in 2001 from Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. After graduation, she went on to complete a PGY1 pharmacy residency and PGY2 pediatric residency at UF Health Shands Hospital in Gainesville, Florida. Since 2006, she has enjoyed her role as the clinical pharmacist for AdventHealth for Children’s Neonatal ICU. She acts as an assistant to the Director for the PGY2 Pediatric Pharmacy Residency Program at AdventHealth for Children.
Dr. Jones is a member of the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP), American College of Clinical Pharmacists (ACCP), Florida Society of Health-System Pharmacists (FSHP), and the Children's Oncology Group.

Andrea P. Dunn, PharmD, BCPPS

Dr. Dunn is a proud graduate of Howard University, College of Pharmacy, where she received her Doctor of Pharmacy degree. She also has a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Science Education from University of Florida. As she matriculated through pharmacy school, she developed a strong interest in pediatric pharmacotherapy. As a result, she completed a PGY1 Pharmacy Practice Residency with a pediatric emphasis at Baptist Health/Wolfson Children’s Hospital and a PGY2 Pediatric Pharmacy Specialty Residency at AdventHealth for Children. Dr. Dunn joined AdventHealth in 2014 and she is passionate about caring for pediatric patients. She enjoys teaching pharmacy residents and aspiring student pharmacists.
Dr. Dunn is currently a member of the Pediatric Pharmacy Advocacy Group, American College of Clinical Pharmacy, and the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists. Her areas of interests include critical care and infectious disease (including HIV/AIDS).

Jamie Caruthers, PharmD, BCPPS

Dr. Caruthers received her Doctor of Pharmacy degree in 2011 from Palm Beach Atlantic University in West Palm Beach, Florida. She went on to work in a small community hospital and Walgreen’s for one year prior to completing a PGY1 Pharmacy Practice Residency with Pediatric Emphasis at Baptist Health/Wolfson Children’s Hospital in Jacksonville, Florida in 2013. Following her residency she joined AdventHealth for Children as a Clinical-Staff pharmacist until 2016 when she took on the role of Operations Manager. Dr. Caruthers also became a Certified Asthma Educator and Board Certified Pediatric Pharmacotherapy Specialist in 2016.

Christopher Jackson, PharmD, BCPPS

Dr. Jackson received his Doctor of Pharmacy degree in 2013 from the University of Florida. After graduation, he went on to complete a PGY1 pharmacy residency at Wolfson Children’s Hospital in Jacksonville, Florida. From 2014 to 2019, he has worked in various staff clinical pharmacist positions. As of 2019, Chris has joined AdventHealth for Children as a NICU pharmacy specialist.
Dr. Jackson is a member of Pediatric Pharmacy Advocacy Group (PPAG) and American College of Clinical Pharmacy (ACCP).

Esha Patel, PharmD, BCPPS

Dr. Patel received her Doctor of Pharmacy in 2016 from Auburn University Harrison School of Pharmacy in Auburn, AL (War Eagle!). She completed her PGY-1 Pharmacy Practice Residency at Parkridge Medical Center in Chattanooga, TN in 2017 and her PGY-2 Pediatric Pharmacy Residency at AdventHealth for Children in 2018. After completing her PGY-2 pediatric pharmacy residency year, she stayed on at AdventHealth for Children as one of their NICU clinical pharmacy specialists.
Dr. Patel is currently a member of Pediatric Pharmacy Advocacy Group.
